Allowing Willunga Basin Water to expand its currently 6,500ML/annum supply scheme, this $7.3M project will see more than 800ML of additional water allocations provided commencing from 1 July 2020. Expanding recycled water supply to the region reduces the stress on the local aquifers, diverts this water away from the ocean, and provides greater water security for the region. Supported by the Department of Primary Resources SA (PIRSA) via a $2.5M grant, the project supports the production of 2.25 million bottles of premium wine per annum with an annual value of $33M.
